All websites need to hosted on a dedicated web server for them to be seen on the internet.
All the files to build a website need to be housed on the web server (images, logos etc), they can then be put together to create the website. The server will have a unique IP (internet protocol) address which is linked to your domain name, this then leads search engines (google) back to your website via your domain name.
